The purpose of Compensatory time (Ktime) is to reduce overtime. For every hour of overtime worked, 1.5 hours of ktime will accrue.

Ktime will not accumulate over 40 hours. It is the deputy's responsibility to monitor their Ktime. Ktime may be cashed out depending on the Sheriff department's monthly budget. Depending on the department, some will be allowed overtime, while others will be allowed k-time.

 

 

In regards to: All Rules, Regulations, Policy & Procedures and Special Orders are at the discretion of the Sheriff based on departmental need and the severity of the infraction.
