Eligibility:
Office personnel who normally work Monday through Friday will receive 8 hours for holidays that are listed on the Louisiana Clerks of Court Holiday Schedule. There are other events within the parish that require several office personnel employees to work security. For those events, the office personnel will receive the holiday hours for the time the office was closed.
For deputies who do not work Monday through Friday, they will receive the holiday rate of pay (Overtime) if they work on the selected holidays. If a deputy, who receives holiday hours for being off, is called in, he or she will receive overtime for the hours worked and those hours will be subtracted from the holiday hours given.
- In regards to: All Rules, Regulations, Policy & Procedures and Special Orders are at the discretion of the Sheriff based on departmental need and the severity of the infraction.
