TYRONE GUIDRY ARRESTED FOR THEFT ON ELLA MAE RD!

On September 8, 2025, Deputies with the Evangeline Parish Office were dispatched to an area near Ella Mae Rd for a report of a stolen backpack, which was taken out of a vehicle. A witness gave deputies a license plate number to the vehicle believed to be involved in the theft. During the course of the investigation, Detectives identified the vehicle as belonging to Mr. Tyron Guidry of Eunice. During an initial interview with Mr. Guidry, he denied having anything to do with the theft. Mr. Guidry was later arrested by the Lafayette Sheriff's Office on outstanding warrants, and his vehicle was towed. Detectives located the stolen backpack with the victim's identification in Mr. Guidry's vehicle, and a witness was able to pick Mr. Guidry out of a photo lineup, which led to his arrest.

 Tyron Guidry was arrested and charged with felony simple burglary of a vehicle, and his bond was set at $50,000.00.
