SHERIFF CHARLES R. GUILLORY ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE EVANGELINE PARISH SALES TAX COMMISSION BOARD

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
We are pleased to announce that Sheriff Charles. R Guillory has been elected as President of the Evangeline Parish Sales Tax Commission Board. He is only the second person to hold this position.
The previous President was Mr. Leon Estes. Mr. Estes held the position from 1992 until his passing in 2025. An election was held, and Sheriff Charles R. Guillory was elected. The Commission Board consists of 10 members.
The Evangeline Parish Sales Tax Commission was established in 1992, and Mike Veillon was appointed as its Director. Mr. Veillon held this position from 1992 until 2019 upon his retirement. Mr. Marty Morein has assumed the duties of Director from 2019 to the present.
