PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Please be informed that the new law requiring hands-free driving while using any electronic device became effective January 1, 2026.

What this means is that it is illegal to have a cell phone, iPad, or any other electronic device in your hand while operating a motor vehicle.

What to do? You can either purchase a hands-free holder or utilize your Bluetooth to satisfy the new law.

Remember, taking your eyes off the roadway at 55 MPH for 5 seconds, you would have traveled the length of one football field.

THINK ABOUT IT. IT'S THE SAME AS CLOSING YOUR EYES FOR 5 SECONDS WHILE DRIVING. THAT IS DANGEROUS.

SO, LET'S KEEP EVERYONE SAFE ON OUR ROADWAY.
