PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

EVANGELINE PARISH SHERIFF'S OFFICE ENTERED A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE

I am proud to announce that, along with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office and the Attorney General's Office (Liz Murrill) under the direction of Chris Masters, Special Agent for Louisiana Department of Justice entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to accept child sex cases involving in but not limited to Cyber Stalking, Computer Solicitation, Sex Trafficking, etc from the Attorney General's Office. 

The Cyber Crime Unit, with the help of the Louisiana Bureau of Investigations, is always monitoring social media, which includes Facebook, Instagram, X, etc, for computer sex crimes involving our children. These crimes are very terrible, and we must stop the Exploitation of our Children.

As always, Sheriff Charles R. Guillory and the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office is seeking information on criminal activity and urges the public to contact their Investigation Department via phone at 337-363-2161 or through the agency's website at www.evangelineparishsheriff.org.  Any person/s reporting information will remain anonymous. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
