NO KNOCK SEARCH WARRANT - TERRY CAMPBELL AND MARVIN CAMPBELL

On May 27, 2025, Narcotic Agents with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office, along with the assistance of the Allen Parish Sheriff's SWAT Team, executed a No-Knock Narcotic Search Warrant at 7061 Highway 167 North Ville Platte, LA, residence of Terry Campbell and Marvin Campbell. 

Upon executing the search warrant, entry was made into the residence, and agents made contact with a white male 65-year-old white male identified as Terry Campbell and a white male, 71-year-old white male identified as Marvin Campbell. Both were detained and advised of their Miranda Rights

Upon the completion of a search of the house, camper, 3 vehicles, 2 sheds, and the immediate environs of the property, the following was located.  Within the residence agents located on the top of a small trashcan was a cellophane with .78grams of Methamphetamine, on the night stand was a baggie with .27 grams of Methamphetamine, in a blue glass plate located on a shelf at the foot of the bed was .68 grams of Methamphetamine in a line with a piece of clear plastic straw with residue inside and a debit card with residue on it. Methamphetamine is commonly formed in a line so that it can be ingested by snorting. Also located in the bedroom were multiple baggies containing residue. When searching the building located behind the residence, several digital scales and Ziploc bags were located, which are commonly used in the distribution of narcotics.   Also, agents located and seized 47 various firearms, including rifles and shotguns.. Two of the firearms were illegally modified.  Within the immediate environs of the properly agents located (9) Marijuana plants ranging from approximately 15 to 60 inches in length, with several being partially harvested.  

Terry Campbell was arrested and charged with (47) Counts of 14:95E Illegal Carrying of a Firearm, (9) Counts of 40:966A (Marijuana) Distribution/Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana, or synthetic cannabinoids, (1) Count of Possession of Schedule II CDS Methamphetamines and (2) Counts of 40:1785 Possessing or Dealing in Unregistered or Illegally Transferred Weapons. 

Marvin Campbell was arrested and charged with (47) Counts of 14:95E Illegal Carrying of a Firearm, (9) Counts of 40:966A (Marijuana) Distribution/Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana, or synthetic cannabinoids, and (2) Counts of 40:1785 Possessing or Dealing in Unregistered or Illegally Transferred Weapons. 

When searching the residence in the living room 18 firearms were located all loaded and in close proximity to both Terry Campbell and Marvin Campbell, the following firearms located in living room:

As the search of the living room continued several pieces of drug paraphernalia such as Marijuana grinders, smoking pipes, and rolling papers and a small amount of "shake" (Marijuana) could be found, between the kitchen counter and recliner located in the living room under several piece of paper and miscellaneous items was a black leather wallet was located with no identification inside containing a total of $2,800.00 of U. S. Currency, in a brown wallet located in the same area also with no identification a total of $4,100.00 of U.S. Currency. Also located in the same area was an ammo can with a total of $162.00. 

When searching the immediate area (Terry Campbell's room), there Terry Campbell was located in the room, where 5 firearms were all loaded. The following firearms were located:

A Rossis.A. 243 Win marked with two serial numbers: CA006704 & R243YMB

As a search of the residence continued in the bedroom on the left, identified as Marvin Campbell's bedroom, several pills could be seen all over a table and onthe  floor along with a baggie with residue. In Marvin Campbell's wallet, a total of $2,700.00 of U.S. Currency. Also in the bedroom,m a total of 8 firearms were located. The following firearms were located:

When both Terry Campbell and Marvin Campbell were questioned by Captain Joseph Lemoine about if they were currently working, they both stated that they were disabled and had been for several years. When Terry Campbell was questioned about the Methamphetamine found in his bedroom, he stated he knew nothing about it. 

Also in the shed, a total of 13 firearms were located. The following firearms were located:

When searching the property behind the shed next to the vegetable garden in a black bucket was a 48-inch-tall Marijuana Plant with "several buds," several feet away was a dirt row approximately 6 foot long with a piece of wire fence for assisting with stabilizing the 6 Marijuana Plants measurements of plants 53 inches tall, 42 inches tall, 54 inches tall, 58 inches tall, 47 inches tall, and 30 inches tall. As a search of the property continued behind a boat located on the north west side of the property, two Marijuana Plants were located, one measuring 16 inches tall and one measuring 18 inches tall. 

When searching the 2003 white Ford F150 bearing Louisiana License Plate C512326, a Henry Repeating Arms 22s/lr Serial #497334H was located. When searching the 2004 black Ford F150 bearing Louisiana license plate C641832, a Ruger .22cal Long rifle Serial #212-73248 was located. When searching the 2012 black Jeep Wrangler bearing Louisiana License Plate 743DJZ VIN# 1C4AJWAG6CL193161 , a badge belonging to the Mamou Police Department was located in the center of the dashboard pointing out towards the windshield as if portraying himself as a police officer. Marvin Campbell later stated that he was commissioned by the previous chief of Police in Mamou, LA, Brent Zachary.

Car Care was contacted and, upon arrival, took possession of the 2012 Jeep Wrangler for seizure. Both Terry Campbell and Marvin Campbell were transported to the Evangeline Parish Jail for booking and advised that the large amount of U.S. Currency and 45 firearms located would be seized, due to the circumstances and findings at the residence. Both were also advised that the other 2 firearms would be put into evidence due to the barrels being sawed off and illegal. 

I, Lt. Jessica Laborde, reached out to Mamou Assistant Chief Caleb Semien on May 27, 2025, and asked if Marvin Campbell was a police officer with the Mamou Police Department, and he stated that he was not and that the badge should have been turned in.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
