NARCOTICS DIVISION ARRESTS: AARON WAYNE JOHNSTON AND CHLOE DANIELLE FUSILIER

On April 18, 2026, Narcotic Agents with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office, assigned to the Narcotics Division, observed a vehicle make an improper turn at the intersection of Main Street and 4th Street and fail to maintain its proper lane.   Agents activated their emergency lights to conduct a traffic stop, with the vehicle coming to a stop at the intersection of 4th Street and Chestnut Street.  Through dispatch, agents became aware that the license plate on the vehicle did not match the vehicle's description.  Agents determined it was a switched license plate. Dispatch was advised of the license plate and stated it was a 2007 Ford, black in color, pickup truck. It should be advised that the vehicle that was stopped was a GMC, silver in color, Sierra.   Through a field interview, agents learned that Johnston maintains an active Warrant through the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office for Simple Battery.  Agents also learned that Johnston did not have a valid driver's license, and Johnston admitted to having the wrong license plate on the vehicle.

Upon the completion of a search of the driver, passenger, and vehicle, the results of the traffic stop were as follows:

* FTA warrant for Simple Battery
* La RS 40:967A Possession with intent to distribute Schedule II Narcotics Methamphetamine
* La RS 14:130.1 Obstruction of Justice. 
* 1 Criminal Summons for La RS 40:1023 Drug Paraphernalia
* Traffic Summons for Driving Without a Valid License, Improper Lane Usage, No Seatbelt, and a Criminal Summons for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 

Chloe Danielle Fusilier was arrested and charged with:

* La RS 14:130.1 Obstruction of Justice 
* 1 Criminal Summons for La RS 40:1023 Drug Paraphernalia
