NARCOTICS ARREST: CYCLIST ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE

On April 5, 2026, I, Narcotic Agent with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office assigned to the Narcotic Division, conducted a traffic stop of a cyclist, and made contact with the driver, a 26-year-old white female identified as Krystal Nichol Verret.  

Throughout the course of the investigation, agents seized: 

A digital scale with Narcotic Residue. 
A piece of plastic containing Suspected Cocaine residue
A piece of straw containing alleged Cocaine residue 
Approximately 0.3 grams of Methamphetamine 

An arrest warrant secured for Krystal Verret for the charges of La RS 40:967C Possession of Schedule II CDS Methamphetamine, and La RS 14:100.1 Obstruction of Public Passage.
