NARCOTIC SEARCH WARRANT: THE THIBODEAUXS

Recently, the Evangeline Parish Narcotic Unit conducted a lengthy narcotics investigation that resulted in Narcotic Agents with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office securing a Narcotic Search Warrant for 821 Pine Street, Mamou, Louisiana. 

On July 9th, 2025, EPSO Narcotic Units and Allen Parish SWAT Team executed a Narcotic Search Warrant.  Upon making entry into the residence, the Narcotics/SWAT Team made contact with a 44-Year-old black male sitting in a recliner who was identified as Dequincy Thibodeaux and a 19-year-old black male who ran from agents, attempted to discard a Glock pistol by trying to flush a Glock pistol in the toilet, who was identified as Therin Thibodeaux.   Upon both subjects being placed in restraints and the Miranda Rights read to both subjects and understood, a search of the residents was conducted. 

Located a Glock 17 Slide Serial Number: BVBN906 and the lower receiver serial number reading BTZS905 held one magazine within the mag-well of the weapon containing 21 bullets, along with one bullet in the chamber in a bathroom toilet located to the left of the residence. On the tail-end of the slide, in the location for a back plate which holds the extracting components of a firearm, a small device commonly known as a "Glock Switch" was observed on the firearm in which converts the firearm to a fully automatic weapon when installed on the firearm. The "Glock Switch" functions by applying force to a semi-automatic pistol's trigger bar to prevent it from limiting fire to one round of ammunition per trigger pull. It thus converts the weapon into a machine pistol capable of automatic fire. Located in the bedroom to the right of the residence in a shoe box loaded magazine containing 12 bullets, along with one bullet within the chamber,r was a Taurus G3C 9mm serial number ABL089820.  

Located in the bedroom to the right of the residence, three rocks of crack cocaine were located on a bottom bunk of the bunkbed in which weighed .28 grams as well as 1 capsule/oblong pill with imprint ELI-515 30 mg identified as Amphetamine and Dextroamphetamine Extended Release. 

In a backpack, gray in color with blue trim was a black zipper pouch containing a zip lock bag containing Methamphetamine weighing a variety of weights, 7.92 grams, 3.66 grams, 3.65 grams, 3.65 grams, 3.75 grams, 3.58 grams, along with a plastic bag within the Ziploc bag containing a total of 14.37 grams (four pieces of plastic weighing 3.88 grams, 3.52 grams, 3.59 grams, 3.38 grams). A black plastic bag was located within the zipper pouch containing a piece of plastic containing 28.69 grams, and 29.08 grams of Methamphetamine, .75 grams of Synesthetic Marijuana, and 28.86 grams of Marijuana. Located in a second black plastic bag was a plastic bag containing 7 pieces of plastic with a total weight of 17.2 grams of Marijuana (3.73 grams, 3.67 grams, 4 grams, 1.53 grams, 1.53 grams, 1.35 grams, and 1.39 grams). 

Also located in the second black plastic bag was pla astic bag containing 2 bags of Marijuana with a total of 59.2 grams, a cellophane with 2 pieces of plastic each containing 5 rocks of Crack Cocaine for a total of 1.9 grams of Crack Cocaine. (1 gram and .90 grams). Located in a yellow zipper pouch with red designs was a plastic bag containing 9 pieces of plastic of Synthetic Marijuana for a total of 14.2 grams, a Ziploc bag containing 13 pieces of plastic containing Marijuana weighing 25.4 grams, another plastic bag containing 8 pieces of plastic containing Methamphetamine weighing 9 grams, a brown piece of plastic containing 3.53 grams of Methamphetamine, three pieces of plastic containing 1.51 grams, 1.46 grams, .81 grams of Synthetic Marijuana.

Located loose within the backpack was a yellow piece of plastic containing 7 pieces of plastic containing Marijuana for a total weight of 11.7 grams. A white piece of plastic containing 10 pieces of plastic containing Synthetic Marijuana for a total weight of 8.7 grams. A plastic bag containing 29.8 grams of Synthetic Marijuana. A plastic bag containing 11 pieces of plastic for a total of 7.1 grams of Methamphetamine. A plastic bag containing 9 pieces of plastic of Synthetic Marijuana weighing 7.9 grams.

Also located within the shoe box were numerous pieces of mail addressed to Vindezz Thibodeaux, who is a 25-year-old black male who was identified as a resident of the home by surveillance. Located in a yellow piece of plastic in a adjacent shoe was 27 9mm bullets Vindezz Thibodeaux is a convicted felon in the State of Louisiana, currently on Parole with previous convicted charges for Possession of a Schedule II narcotic, Illegal Possession of a firearm in the presence of narcotics, Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, Possession of a stolen firearm and Attempted Second Degree Murder.

Dequincy Thibodeaux was arrested and charged with 40:966 Possession with intent to distribute Schedule I Marijuana, 40:966 Possession with intent to distribute Schedule I Synthetic Marijuana, 40:967 Possession with intent to distribute schedule II Crack Cocaine, 40:967 Possession with intent to distribute schedule II Methamphetamine, 40:967C Possession of Schedule II Adderall, 2 counts 14:95 E Possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS, 14:95 Possession of a firearm by convicted felon, 40:1785 Possession in a unregistered or illegally transferred weapon, 40:981.3 Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Law Drug Free Zone. 

Therin Thibodeaux was arrested and charged with 40:966 Possession with intent to distribute Schedule I Marijuana, 40:966 Possession with intent to distribute Schedule I Synthetic Marijuana, 40:967 Possession with intent to distribute schedule II Crack Cocaine, 40:967 Possession with intent to distribute schedule II Methamphetamine, 40:967C Possession of Schedule II Adderall, 2 counts 14:95 E Possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS, 40:1785 Possession in a unregistered or illegally transferred weapon, 40:981.3 Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Law Drug Free Zone.

Vindezz Thibodeaux is charged with 40:966 Possession with intent to distribute Schedule I Marijuana, 40:966 Possession with intent to distribute Schedule I Synthetic Marijuana, 40:967 Possession with intent to distribute schedule II Crack Cocaine, 40:967 Possession with intent to distribute schedule II Methamphetamine, 40:967C Possession of Schedule II Adderall, 2 counts 14:95 E Possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS, 14:95 Possession of a firearm by convicted felon, 40:1785 Possession in a unregistered or illegally transferred weapon, 40:981.3 Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Law Drug Free Zone. It should be advised that Vindezz is still at large for this incident.
