NARCOTIC SEARCH WARRANT ON A STORAGE CONTAINER LEADS TO ARREST!

Recently, the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit conducted a narcotics investigation, partially based on information provided by the public, which led to Narcotics Unit agents securing a Narcotics Search at 700 Chataignier Street, Ville Platte, LA.  

On August 8, 2025, Narcotic Agents with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office executed a Search Warrant on a storage container at the address of 700 Chataignier Street, Ville Platte, L,A Unit G803.  Before opening the facility unit, contact was made with the facility staff, and they were advised of the Narcotic Search Warrant. 

Upon opening the storage unit, narcotic agents located a wrapped blanket, black in color with multiple designs on top of a plastic container, a Smith and Wesson M&P15 Serial Number: TL03286 with what was identified as a Crimson Trace (CTS-25 Compact Red Dot Sight) attached with an empty 5.56 magazine.  The following was located within the plastic bin. 

170.2 grams of Marijuana 

1,733 mdma "ecstasy" pills 

1 Smith & Wesson AR-15 rifle with red dot system 

Shaunesia Offord, a 29-year-old black female, was arrested and charged with the following: 

La RS 40:966 Possession of Schedule I Narcotic with intent to distribute (Marijuana), La RS 40:966 Possession of Schedule I Narcotic with Intent to distribute (MDMA), La RS 14:95E Possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS
An investigation is ongoing with more arrests to follow.
