~NARCOTIC PRESS RELEASE~ MANDI MURPHY AND LANCE RYAN MILLIER
On April 21, 2025, Narcotic Agents were conducting criminal patrol on Veteran Memorial Hwy South of Mamou, when agents observed a green ATV (four wheeler) driving on the shoulder of Veteran Memorial Hwy with a 3 year old girl sitting in front of a 39-year-old white male wo was identified as Lance Miller, who was driving the ATV and a 37-year-old white female who was identified as Mandi Murphy sitting behind Miller on the ATV. A traffic stop was conducted, and contact was made with Miller and Murphy. Agents immediately learned Murphy maintained active warrants through the St. Landry Sheriff's Office. Miller was ordered to get off the ATV, and when Murphy was ordered to step off the ATV, agents observed a small silver object fall from the ATV and onto the ground. The agent picked up the object and observed it as a homemade smoking device with Marijuana inside the pipe. A pat search of Miller and Murphy was conducted. A search of the front compartment of the ATV resulted in agents locating a clear and white checkered bag containing a black zipper pouch which held a glass meth pipe and a small baggie containing 6.14 grams of methamphetamines. Murphy and Miller were placed under arrest for possession of illegal narcotics, Agents notified DCFS, who took custody of their 3-year-old daughter, and the ATV was towed.
Mandi G Murphy was arrested and charged with (1) Count of 40:967A Distribution/Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS Methamphetamines. (1) Count 14:91.13 Illegal Use of Controlled Dangerous Substances in the Presence of a Person Under Seventeen Years of Age, (1) Count 14:130.1 Obstruction of Justice.
Lance Ryan Miller was arrested and charged with (1) Count of 40:967A Distribution/Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS Methamphetamines. (1) Count 14:91.13 Illegal Use of Controlled Dangerous Substances in the Presence of a Person Under Seventeen Years of Age.
