NARCOTIC PRESS RELEASE: DENNIS CLARK
On May 16, 2025, at approximately 21:56 hours, Agents assigned to the Narcotic Division, while conducting criminal patrol in the area of South Soileau Street. During this time, agents observed an individual riding a bicycle with no illumination devices on the bicycle. Agents activated the emergency lights to conduct a traffic stop on the bicycle. Upon contact with
the individual operating the bicycle who was identified as 40-year-old black male, a pat search was conducted for weapons and officer safety. During the time, Clark made known to agents that he had a ''bowl'' in his pocket. After retrieving the property, he referred to as a
''Bowl'' I discovered that it was a cylindrical glass tube with a round bulb at the end that has been used in the commission of consuming methamphetamine. Also found inside of his front pocket was a black cylindrical container containing 0.54 grams of a clear crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine. At this time Clark was placed under arrest and transported to the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office for processing.
Dennis Clark was arrested and charged with (1) Count of 40:967C Possession of Methamphetamines. A citation was also written for LRS 32:329 No Bicycle Lamps.
