NARCOTIC "KNOCK AND ANNOUNCE" SEARCH WARRANT LEADS TO ARREST!
Narcotic Agents with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office recently conducted and completed a narcotic investigation for possession and distribution of illegal drugs within Evangeline Parish. More so, on April 24, 2026, Narcotic Agents with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office executed a Narcotic Search Warrant at 302 Leone Street, Ville Platte, being the residence of a 31-year-old black male identified as Tyrin Frank. When agents arrived, they observed a vehicle bearing a Louisiana License plate 393JKP in the driveway with 3 occupants within the vehicle. Daniel Gallow, Shamus Leday, and Taylen Thomas, who was immediately detained. Agents conducted a knock-and-announce warrant. When agents entered the residence, they observed Tyrin Frank, who was located in the bathroom, attempting to dispose of narcotics in the toilet. Tyrin Frank was immediately detained, and a baggie containing 13.70 grams of Cocaine and $8.00 of U.S. Currency was retrieved from the toilet. Located in the residence was a 2-year-old male, a 3-year-old female, and an infant female approximately 5 months old.
Narcotic Agents began searching the residence, and in the dining room area, in a wooden cabinet, the following was located. A black and white book sack was located, containing a Gatorade can with 7 sandwich bags all containing Methamphetamine with the individual weights of 29.17g, 28.19g, 29.06g, 29.21g, 25.59g, 29.25g, 29.01g for a total of 199.48 grams. In a plastic bowl, a sandwich bag was located containing 4.73 grams of Methamphetamine, and an RX bottle with an unknown white substance. In a Kool Cigarette pack, 13 small baggies all containing Methamphetamine with the individual weights of .41g, 1.08g, 1.09g, .65g, .34g, .30g, .53g, .61g, .31g, .60g, .58g, .40g, .34g for a total weight of 7.24 grams. Also located within the wooden cabinet next to the book sack was a total of $10,000.00 wrapped with hair ties, hidden, a green RX bottle with no label containing 12 round blue pills imprint WES201 identified as Acetaminophen & Oxycodone 325mg/5mg, an RX bottle with the name scratched off containing 5 white oblong pills with imprint T194 identified as Acetaminophen & Oxycodone 325mg/10mg. In Tyrin Frank's wallet, agents located a total of $90.00 in U.S. Currency.
Upon searching the pickup truck of Tyrin Frank, which was located under the carport, drug paraphernalia was located. Agents then searched the car, which belonged to Shamus Leday, and agents located 2.10 grams of Marijuana, a 20-oz strawberry Fanta bottle containing 8.4 fl oz of soda, and Promethazine mix. When conducting a pat search of Daniel Gallow, agents located in his possession 3.29 grams of Synthetic Marijuana.
Upon the completion of the search, Agents contacted the grandmother of the 3 tender aged juveniles, and they were released to the grandmother.

3 Count 14:91.13 Illegal Use of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in the Presence of a Person Under the Age of Seventeen Years of Age
1 Count of 14:130.1 Obstruction of Justice (Felony)
Warrants were secured for Daniel Gallow and Shamus Leday. The investigation is ongoing.
