NARCOTIC ARREST: TRAVIS WAYNE MORGAN

On February 24, 2026, narcotic agents with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office, while conducting criminal patrol, observed a vehicle traveling northbound for driving on the right shoulder of the roadway.  Agents initiated the emergency lights and sirens to conduct a traffic stop.    Upon the traffic stop, agents made contact with the driver, a 36-year-old white male identified as Travis Morgan.   During a pat search for weapons, agents located a glass pipe containing .366 grams of methamphetamines in the right front pocket of Morgan.  A search was also conducted of the vehicle. 4.5 grams of synthetic marijuana were located in a compartment under the radio.

Travis Morgan was arrested and charged with the following:

(1)   1 Count of La RS Code 40:967C Possession of a Schedule II Methamphetamines (Felony)

(2)   1 Count of La RS Code 40:966C Possession of a Schedule I Synthetic Marijuana (Felony)

Travis Morgan was also issued a traffic summons for traffic-related offenses.
