NARCOTIC ARREST: SEARCH FOR DEVILLE LEADS TO THE ARREST OF FONTENOT!
On April 14, 2026, Narcotic Agents with Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office arrived at the residence of 1126 Narcisse Road, Ville Platte, the owner of the camper being David Fontenot, in an attempt to locate a Roger Deville who maintains an Active Arrest Warrant, and because Agents were aware of David Fontenot selling illegal narcotics again. Upon arrival, agents made contact with Brian Deshotels, who was standing at the doorway of the camper. When asked to speak with David Fontenot, he stated that he was sleeping and went to wake him up to come to the door.
At this time, Fontenot granted permission to enter the camper, and agents inquired about the whereabouts of Roger Deville. Fontenot stated that Deville hung around the wood line and that he didn't allow him at the residence because he was a thief.
Agents learned Fontenot maintained an Active Warrant for Probation and parole. When D. Fontenot was asked if he had any illegal narcotics in his possession, he stated that he did not and was informed that it was said that he was selling illegal narcotics again. At this time, agents within plain view observed two glass meth smoking pipes on the nightstand. Permission was given allowing agents to search the residence.
Agents located a bottle containing 3.12 grams of Marijuana, 2 meth smoking pipes, .51 grams of Methamphetamines in one pipe, and .47 grams of Methamphetamines in the second pipe. Also, in a medicine bottle, agents were located 1.21 grams of Methamphetamines.
D. Fontenot was arrested and charged with (1) Count 40:967C Methamphetamines
