NARCOTIC ARREST: OBRIEN DCHAUNE ALFRED

On December 3rd, 2025, at approximately 1526 hours, Agents with the Criminal Patrol Unit, while patrolling in the Kennedy Subdivision, specifically Division Road and CJ Ave, observed a vehicle with dark tint on the front passenger window, completely disabling the view into the vehicle, turn onto Te Mamou Rd.  Upon the agents initiating the emergency lights to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle continued traveling North, then made a right turn onto Hickory Street, then High School Drive, disregarding the lights and sirens from the patrol unit, and came to a stop at a residence located at the intersection of West Cypress and SW Railroad Ave.  When agents approached the vehicle, they came in contact with the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.  The agent made contact with the driver, a 19-year-old black male who was identified as Obrien Dchaune Alfred of 620 SW Railroad Ave, Ville Platte, La.  After having Alfred exit the vehicle, agents advised the two occupants to exit the vehicle.  At this time, agents searched the vehicle.  During the search, agents located a small amount of Marijuana in the driver's side door and on the floorboard of the driver's seat.  Also located on the rear passenger floor was a bottle of Promethazine.  The driver, Obrien, admitted the Marijuana and Promethazine were for him.

Obrien Dchaune Alfred was arrested and charged with (1) Count 40:970 A.1 Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule V (Felony), (1) Count of 14:91.13 Possession of a CDS while in the presence of a minor.  Obrien was issued a misdemeanor summons for 40:966 Possession of Schedule I (Marijuana) less than 14 grams, a traffic citation for 32:361.1 Illegal Window Tint, and 32:295 Unrestrained Child.
