NARCOTIC ARREST: JAMIE GUILBEAU

On September 29, 2025, Narcotic agents conducting criminal patrol within the city of Ville Platte, observed a vehicle bearing the Louisiana license 276FBJ conduct a right turn from Rev. ED Alfred onto Young Street without using a signal 100 ft prior to turning. Agents activated the emergency lights to conduct a traffic stop in which the vehicle stopped at Young Street and Martin Luther King Dr. 

Upon stopping, contact was made with the driver, a 40-year-old white female identified as Jamie Jo Guilbeau. Jamie Guilbeau was advised for the reasoning for the stop as well as Guilbeau being observed not properly seat-belted. Jamie Guilbeau was instructed to provide her license, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration. Contact with the passenger was identified as John Roberson, and it was observed he was not properly restrained in the vehicle as well.  Both driver and passenger were advised to exit the vehicle.  Once out of the vehicle, Jamie Guilbeau was asked if any narcotics was located within the vehicle in which she stated no.  K-9 Diego was conducted a free air snif around the vehicle and the K-9 alerted on the vehicle. 

A search of the vehicle was conducted and the following was located: 

·         Located in a tied sandwich bag was 2.95 Grams of Marijuana, located in the bag of Jamie Guilbeau

·         Located in a piece of cellophane was 0.68 grams of Methamphetamine located in Jamie Guilbeau wallet 

·         Located in a piece of cellophane was 0.43 grams of Methamphetamine located in Jamie Guilbeau's wallet

Jamie Guilbeau was physically restrained in handcuffs and transported to Evangeline Parish Jail for the charges of (1) Count of 40:967 Possession of Schedule II Narcotics Methamphetamine. Jamie Guilbeau also received a traffic citation for her traffic related offenses as well as (1) Count of 40:966 Possession of Schedule I Marijuana under 14 grams. John Roberson also received a traffic citation for his traffic related offenses.
