NARCOTIC ARREST: JAMES EARL GALLOW

Date Posted: 03/24/2026

On January 27, 2026, Narcotic Agents observed a 44-year-old black male subject identified as James Earl Gallow walking in the middle of the roadway on East Street and Pine Street.  Upon initial contact, Gallow stated his name was James Wilson.  Later during the field interview, agents learned Wilson's real name was James Earl Gallow.  Agents activated the emergency lights to conduct a traffic stop.   Upon stopping, contact was made with Gallow, and he was advised of the reasoning for the stop.  Gallow was observed to have a large knife in his hand, and agents instructed Wilson to place the knife on the hood of the vehicle, which he complied with. Due to Gallow's recent interactions with agents, Gallow was asked if he had anything illegal on him.  Gallow advised, no, and gave verbal consent to his person as well as his backpack in possession.

Upon the completion of the search of Gallow's person and backpack, the following was located:

Located within his backpack was a Meth-pipe with several burn marks consistent with Methamphetamine use.  Methamphetamine was also observed throughout the pipe. Due to methamphetamine being located within the pipe, it was retrieved. The Methamphetamine weighed 0.33 grams total.

James Earl Guillory was arrested on the outstanding warrants from the Ville Platte City Marshal, and a warrant was submitted to the Judge for (1) Count La RS 40:967 Possession of Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine), (1) Count 14:100.1 Obstruction of Public Passage, and (1) Count La RS 14:108.
