NARCOTIC ARREST: CASSITY ANN VIDRINE
On March 25, 2026, Narcotic Agents with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office assigned to Criminal Patrol / Narcotics Division observed a vehicle turning at the intersection of Belaire Cove Road and Main Street without using a signal 100 ft before turning. Agents activated the emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop. Upon making contact with the driver, identified as a 41-year-old white male, John Issac Foret. A female was located in the passenger seat, a 26-year-old white female identified as Cassity Ann Vidrine. During a field interview, Vidrine lied about her name to agents. When agents were able to discern the female's name, the agents learned Vidrine maintained an Active Warrant through the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's Office. At this time, K9 "Coup" was deployed to conduct a free air sniff around the vehicle, and K9 Coup alerted to the left and right sides of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted and yielded negative results. Moments later, Vidrine, on her own recognizance, surrendered a piece of cellophane containing approximately 1.91 grams of methamphetamine.
Cassity Vidrine was arrested and charged with the following:
1 Count La RS 40:967 Possession of Schedule II CDS Methamphetamine
1 Count La RS 14:108B1C Resisting an Officer by Failing to Identify
Cassity Vidrine was also arrested for her warrants from the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's Office, due to the agency requesting apprehension.
John Foret was issued a traffic citation for his traffic-related offenses and released.
