Narcotic Agents Arrest Two! Deville and Manuel

On December 8, 2025, Narcotic Agents with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office, assigned to the Criminal Patrol/Narcotics division, while conducting a criminal patrol within the city limits of Mamou, LA, observed a vehicle make a right turn at the intersection of 9th Street and Main Street without using a turn signal before turning.  Agents activated the emergency lights to conduct a traffic stop, in which the vehicle stopped along the roadway of Main Street and 8th Street.


Contact was made with the driver, a 58-year-old white male identified as Randy Manuel.  Manuel was advised of the reasoning for the stop and was instructed to provide his license, vehicle registration, and vehicle insurance. Before a pat search for weapons and officer safety, Manuel surrendered a sandwich bag containing 1.98 grams of Marijuana.   Agents then searched for Manuel's person and located a cellophane bag containing Methamphetamines.  The passenger in the vehicle was a 19-year-old white male identified as Brannon Deville.   Upon the completion of a field interview/investigation, the results are as follows:


Brannon Deville was arrested for several active warrants for failing to appear in Court.


Randy Manuel was arrested and charged with La. R.S. Code 40:967C Possession of Schedule II CDS Methamphetamines.  Manuel also received a traffic summons for traffic-related violations.
