NARCOTIC ARREST: JEREMIE L FONTENOT

On September 15, 2025, Evangeline Parish Narcotic agents were patrolling La. Hwy 104 in the Lanse Bleu area when observed and called in to dispatch, a vehicle bearing Louisiana license plate Z793031.  The information provided by dispatch was the vehicle being 1999 Chevrolet pickup white in color and also maintained no insurance.  Agents also observed the vehicle the license plate was displayed on was a newer model Chevrolet white pickup.  Upon conducting a traffic stop, agent made contact with a 30-year-old white male identified as Jeremie Lee Fontenot.   During a field interview, it was determined Jeremie Lee Fontenot failed to maintained insurance and a valid driver's license.   The license plate was also switched plate from a different vehicle.  Agents conducted a pat search for weapons and located a glass pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamines.  Jermie Lee Fontenot was advised of his Miranda Rights which he stated he understood and was placed in restraints.  Also located in the back seat sleeping, was a 4-year-old female juvenile. Upon having a family member take control of the female and search of the truck was conducted and located  on the front passenger floorboard a black eyeglass case was located containing a plastic bag with 2.78 grams of Marijuana, a blue metal cylinder with .5 grams of Marijuana, an Rx bottle with no label containing 12 round blue pills with imprint T 372 identified as Amphetamine & Dextroamphetamine 10mg and 5 round peach pills with imprint 20 LCI identified as Amphetamine & Dextroamphetamine 20mg. 

Jeremie Lee Fontenot was arrested and charged with the following: 40:967C Possession of Schedule II CDS (Amphetamines) 40:967 Possession of Methamphetamines, La. RS code 14:91.13 Illegal Use of Controlled Dangerous Substances in the Presence of Person Under Seventeen Years of Age. 

Jeremie Lee Fontenot was also received a Criminal Summons for Possession of Less than 14 grams of Marijuana.  

Jeremie Lee Fontenot also received traffic citations for No Insurance, Switched Plate, Failure to Register Vehicle, No Child Restraint, Obstruction of Driver's View and Driver Must be License. 

J. Fontenot was issued Citations for the following charges, Driver Must be licensed, Switched License Plate, No Insurance, Failure to register vehicle, No Child restraint, Obstruction of driver's view, and possession of Schedule I under 14 grams.
