ICAC TASK FORCE SERVES SEARCH WARRANT THAT LEADS TO THE ARREST OF CHRISTOPHER LALONDE!

ARREST BRIEFING 

 

On August 28, 2025, a search warrant was served at the 300 Blk. Tina Drive in Ville Platte, LA., by (ICAC) members of the Louisiana Internet Crimes against Children Task Force. This team was comprised of members of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division, Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Immigration and Customs Enforcement/Homeland Security Investigations, and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office.

 The search warrant was completed at the culmination of an investigation into a male subject at that residence, using his personal social media account to procure and possess 110 items of Child Sexual Abuse Materials involving pubescent and pre-pubescent children. Upon completion of the investigation and the subsequent search warrant, Christopher John Lalonde, of that Address, was arrested for the crime of Possessing Child Sexual Abuse Materials. The Investigation is ongoing, and the potential of more charges is possible.  He is currently being held in the Evangeline Parish Jail with a $350,000.00 Bond.
