ICAC TASK FORCE EXECUTES 2ND SEARCH WARRANT!

On August 28, 2025, a search warrant was served at 2000 Blk. of Sommers Street in Turkey Creek, LA., by (ICAC) Louisiana Internet Crimes against Children Task Force. This task force team was comprised of members of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division staff, the Louisiana Attorney General's Office's Bureau of Investigations, Immigration and Customs Enforcement staff, and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office criminal investigators.
Task Force conducting a search warrant at the above location, the suspect was interviewed at the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office. During the interview, it was discovered that Thrasher owns a handgun located at his home. He had the gun in his possession, by his own admission, at his home until the search warrant was executed on his property.
During the search, the gun was located, confiscated, and brought back to the Sheriff's Office to be placed in evidence. After the interview, Mr. Thrasher was placed under arrest for the crime of LARS 14:95.1, Illegal Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Upon completion of the interview and knowing the gun was secure with law enforcement, Thrasher was escorted from the Sheriff's Office CID to the Evangeline Parish jail, where he remains incarcerated at this time
