EPSO PATROL DIVISION PATROLLED THE STREETS OF VILLE PLATTE FOR HOMECOMING FESTIVITIES!

On September 26, 2025, deputies with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Uniformed Patrol Division actively patrolled the streets of Ville Platte during this year's Homecoming festivities in an effort to deter violent crime, which in recent years has unfortunately become synonymous with Homecoming events.

During the operation, deputies issued a total of 21 traffic citations and made two drug-related arrests.

Among those arrested was Mr. Larry Thomas of Ville Platte, who was charged with Possession of Schedule II CDS and Resisting Arrest.

Also arrested was Ms. Kelogah D. Calvin of Ville Platte, who was charged with Possession of Schedule I CDS and Resisting Arrest.

Thanks to these proactive efforts, no violent crimes were reported during the Homecoming events.
