CRIMINAL PATROL UNITS ARREST TWO FOR NARCOTICS!
On December 11th, 2025, the Evangeline Parish Criminal Patrol Unit was patrolling the area of Maple and 2nd Street when agents observed a white Chevy Tahoe leaving an alley between Maple Street and Main Street. Moments later, the CPU conducted a traffic stop, which led to the parking lot of Jet Express. At this time, the CPU approached the vehicle to make contact with the driver, who was a 44-year-old black male who was identified as Marcus Dewayne Roberts. The agent became aware that Roberts did not possess a valid driver's license. Agents advised the driver and the passenger, a 44-year-old white male who was later identified as Damian K. Duplechain. After completing a pat search for weapons, consent was granted to search the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle, agents located methamphetamine, cocaine, crack cocaine, and marijuana.
Marcus Dewayne Roberts and Damian K. Duplechain were arrested and charged with the following:
40:967 Possession of Schedule II methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.
40:967 Possession of Schedule II cocaine with the intent to distribute.
40:967 Possession of Schedule two crack cocaine with the intent to distribute.
40:966 Possession of Schedule I marijuana with the intent to distribute.
Marcus Dewayne Roberts also received the following:
40:1041 Transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses
Traffic citation for illegal window tint (3%) and driving under suspension.
