CRIMINAL PATROL ARREST: MARQUEZ BELLARD
On March 26, 2026, I, Narcotic Agents with Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office assigned to Narcotics Division, observed a black male on a non-street legal red in color motorized dirt bike along the roadway on Belaire Cove Road, with no License Plate and the driver not wearing any helmet or safety gear. Agents activated the emergency lights and sirens to conduct a traffic stop. At this time, the vehicle failed to stop, accelerated, and continued on Belaire Cove Road. The subject was observed taking a right onto Jean Pierre and traveling at a high rate of speed. The subject was observed driving erratically along the road, driving from one side of the roadway to the other, as well as going through ditches and through several properties in an attempt to evade law enforcement. Agents in pursuit lost sight of the motorcycle; however, upon the arrival of several patrol deputies, the subject was located within a tree line and was apprehended. The subject on the motorcycle was an 18-year-old black male who was identified as Marquez Bellard.
