CATOIRE ARRESTED FOR USE OF A STOLEN CREDIT CARD!
The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division has arrested in connection with the use of a stolen credit card within Evangeline Parish.
On March 2, 2026, detectives with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office were contacted by the Alexandria Police Department regarding a credit card that had been stolen from their jurisdiction and recently used at a business located in Evangeline Parish.
During the investigation, detectives discovered that the stolen credit card was used at the Y-Not Stop (Reddell location).
Two separate transactions were made within minutes of each other, totaling approximately $95.86.
Detectives obtained surveillance video and transaction records from the business, which showed a male subject entering the store and completing the purchases using the stolen credit card.
After reviewing the footage, the suspect was identified as Mark Catoire, 58, of Ville Platte.
Based on evidence obtained during the investigation, detectives secured an arrest warrant for Catoire.
On March 6, 2026, Mark A. Catoire was arrested and booked in the Evangeline Parish Jail on the following charge:
Charge(s): One (1) count- Monetary Instrument Abuse (Felony) - La. R.S. 14:72.2
Bond: $25,000.00
