ARREST BRIEFING: DERRICK ADAMS

On June 4, 2025, the victim contacted Criminal Investigations and stated he observed one of his trucks that he had reported stolen on April 8, 2025. The victim advised Detectives the truck is a 2001 GMC Pickup
Yellow in color and it is on Cora Lane heading towards Mamou.

Detectives spotted the truck heading North on Tiger Lane It turned on Mcgee Road, then onto
Hebrard Road.  Detectives conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified suspect Derrick Adams as being the driver. He was immediately taken into custody and arrested for one count of Illegal Possession of Stolen Things, Driving While Under Suspension, Switched License Plate, and Operating a Vehicle with no Insurance. His bond was set at $36,000.00 and he is currently being held in the Evangeline Parish Jail.
