Sheriff Charles R. Guillory is pleased to announce that he will award one outstanding Evangeline Parish high school senior student $1,000.00 scholarship. Sheriff Guillory indicated that this scholarship is made available under the endorsement of the Louisiana Sheriff's Association and provides for a tangible mechanism for demonstrating appreciation for the value of education and scholarly dedication by both the Sheriff and the Sheriffs' Association.

There are no restrictions on the purposes for which scholarship funds may be spent except that they must be utilized in pursuit of a higher education within the state of Louisiana. The recipient of the scholarship must enroll as a full-time undergraduate student in an accredited college or university within the state of Louisiana. The scholarship is not a loan and is awarded as a gift to defray expenses associated with tuition and related expenses. Applicants must be permanent residents of Louisiana and Evangeline Parish.

Application packets may be picked up at participating high schools in Evangeline Parish. Completed applications must be turned in and received by the Evangeline Sheriff's Office no later than April 1, 2026. For further information, contact the Sheriff's Office at 337-363-2161, ext.259, or your high school guidance counselor or principal. One parish-wide winner will be determined and announced by May 1, 2026.
