Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office has released the following:

On October 30, 2020, a theft of an enclosed construction trailer was reported the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office, which occurred in the Prairie Rhonde area. A report was completed and the information was turned over to the EPSO Detectives.

On Novemeber 4, 2020, Detectives with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's office located the stolen trailer in Ville Platte.  After confirming that this was the stolen trailer they were attempting to locate, the owner was contacted by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's office and the trailer was returned to him.

The theft is still under investigation, with Detectives working the case.

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office is asking that all owners ensure that your ATV's are secured and out of plain sight from the public. There has been an influx of ATV Thefts in the past month. Investigators are working diligently to recover the stolen ATV'S.
