On Tuesday March 5th at approximately 2124 hours Deputies with the Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on Veterans Memorial Highway near Darrel Rd for an equipment violation. During the stop Deputies developed probable cause to search the vehicle.

The search yielded the following narcotics:

67.04 grams of Marijuana

This led to the arrest of the Driver, Collins Lee King -35 of Mamou

Traffic citations were also issued for the equipment violation.
