On September 12, 2023, the Evangeline Parish Criminal Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on the Lithcote Rd. in reference to a traffic violation.  When speaking with the driver of the vehicle, Deputies were granted permission to search the vehicle.  During that time, Deputies located approximately 67.9 grams of methamphetamine and 0.5 grams of fentanyl.

The driver / suspect (Casey Tate W/M DOB 08/19/1988 of Ville Platte) was arrested and booked into the Evangeline Parish Jail for felony possession of methamphetamine and felony possession of fentanyl.  His bond was set at $175,000.00
