Sheriff Charles R. Guillory is reporting the capture of escaped inmate Willie Price. Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department Deputies on July 24, 2023 learned of a location in Opelousas that the escaped inmate was hiding with a female acquaintance . Detectives then contacted the Opelousas Police Department and provided the location. Opelousas Police went to the residence of a female acquaintance of Willie Price. The female allowed officers to search the residence, and they located Price hiding in the attic. Opelousas Police took Price into custody and he will be transported back to Evangeline Parish Jail for processing.
