The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office would like to acknowledge and thank the Estate of former Sheriff Wayne Morein, for a gracious donation of much needed equipment. The donation of 12 body-worn cameras and 12 outer carrier vests were much needed.

Sheriff Wayne Morein was a strong believer in having personal protection for Deputies. He served this parish as Sheriff from 1991 till 2007, a total of 16 years. This equipment will help to keep Deputies safe. Sheriff Morein served most of his life in law enforcement and was well respected. Thank you to Sheriff Morein's estate for the gracious donation.
