RE: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Impact on Civil and Tax Department Operations
As Louisiana's response to the risk of COVID-19 impact continues to expand, so does our need to evaluate the impact to the Civil and Tax Department of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office. In an effort to minimize person to person contact at the Evangeline Parish Courthouse, the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office will be closing the doors to the Civil and Tax Department effective March 18, 2020 until further notice.
The Civil and Tax Department staff will continue working to answer your questions and take payment by mail and by phone. You will continue to be able to make payments on taxes and fines by credit card over the phone (337) 363-2161 as well as sending checks, money orders, or cashiers checks by mail to the address below.
