Due to the State and the Department of Corrections recommendations, the Evangeline Parish jail will be suspending all jail visitation, fingerprinting, background checks, IDs, along with all non essential personnel being allowed in the jail. Attorneys must make an appointment to visit their clients. The appointment with the client will be conducted by phone. This will go into effect immediately and will remain in effect until further notice.

Also, no inmates will be transported to or from other facilities until further notice. This is in effort to help from spreading the COVID-19 also known as the Corona Virus.
