Sheriff Eddie Soileau, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office has released the following:

Sunday morning, February 23, 2020 Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Investigations Division received an anonymous tip of the person allegedly responsible for the shooting that occurred on Snooks Road Saturday February 22, 2020. The caller advised that Tristan Scott Lejeune was responsible for shooting Hezekiah Thomas. The caller also releases information on Lejeune's whereabouts.

Immediately following the call, Detectives acted upon the information given and would be in search of Lejeune for questioning. Lejeune cooperated fully and admitted to Detectives he was involved and responsible alone for the shooting. Lejeune was detained, arrested, and transported to the Evangeline Parish Jail for charges and booking.    

Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office is no longer in search of the original subjects listed as persons of interest for questioning. (Lionell H. Ardoin, Roderic D. Thomas, and Jennifer A. Fontenot)

 Hezekiah Thomas (Victim) has been listed in stable condition since his surgery on yesterday.
