Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

 

On the 22nd of August 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments Narcotic Unit conducted a traffic stop on vehicle for a traffic violation at Greenwood and Pine Point Road. The agent made contact with the occupants of the vehicle and explained the reason for the stop. Once a roadside interview was conducted a search of the vehicle was done. This led to illegal narcotics being found.

Possession of Suboxone

Possession with intent to distribute Methamphetamine over 28 grams.

On the 23rd of August 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department K-9 Unit, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. Upon coming into conduct with the driver and conducting a interview, The agent deployed K-9 Diego who gave a positive alert to the presence of possible narcotics in the vehicle. The agent then conducted a search of the car and located illegal narcotics.
