Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

 On the 14th of August 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department, conducted a traffic stop on a car for a traffic violation. Upon the deputy making contact with the driver, he could smell a odor of marijuana emitting from the car. The deputy then conducted a search of the car. Upon completion of the search the deputy located illegal narcotics, a weapon, and over $9,000.00 in US currency.
