Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

 On the 27th of April 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department's Narcotics Unit, conducted a traffic stop on a car, for a traffic violation. The driver and occupants were advised of the reason for the stop. A roadside interview was conducted and permission to search the car was granted. Once the car was searched illegal narcotics were located.

He also had three outstanding warrants for

Failure to appear for court.

Also, on the 28th of April 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department's Narcotics Unit along with the patrol division, executed a Search Warrant on a residence located on L'anse Bleu Road in the Chataignier area. The warrant was executed at 8 pm. Agents made entry and detained 4 people without incident. The residence and property were searched and illegal narcotics were found.

He was charged with

Possession with intent to distribute Methamphetamine

Possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl

He also has a warrant for failure to appear for court

 

On the 28th of April 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department's Narcotic Unit, conducted a traffic stop on Pine Point Road. Upon coming into contact with the driver and passenger, Agents explained the reason for the stop. The occupants of the car were removed and a search of the car occurred. Following the search illegal narcotics were recovered.
