Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

 On the 12-30-2021 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Departments Narcotic Division conducted a traffic stop on a car on US Hwy 167N. While speaking to the driver of the car, she admitted to having narcotics hidden on her. She then turned over the narcotics and gave consent to search the car. The passenger also admitted to having narcotics on him. Upon a search of the car, more narcotics were located. This led to the following actions.

Possession of Methamphetamine

4 school attendance warrants

She was cited for traffic violation

 

Robert Lee

He was also charged with

Possession with intent to distribute Methamphetamine

On the 4th of January 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments Narcotics Division in conjunction with the LA. Department of Probation and Parole, executed an arrest warrant for a female. Once the female was searched, she was found to be in possession of ecstasy pills. The following then occurred.

She was charged with probation violation

Possession of Ecstasy

 

On the 5th of January 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments Narcotic Division conducted a traffic stop on a truck on Hwy 167 south. Upon coming into contact with the driver, there were multiple signs of possible drug usage. K-9 Diego was then used to conduct a free air sniff of the exterior of the truck and gave a positive alert. A search of the suspect and the truck revealed illegal narcotics.

Possession of a firearm in presence of CDS

Possession of a firearm by a felon

4 warrants for worthless checks

 

On the 5th of January 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriffs Departments Narcotics Division in conjunction, with the LA. Department of Probation and Parole executed a search warrant on a residence in Ville Platte. When Agents entered the home, they found narcotics. This has led to an arrest warrant being issued for a male suspect.
