Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

On the 9th of September 2021 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Department Narcotics Unit along with the Criminal Investigations Unit, conducted a search warrant on a residence located 1020 Rev. E D Alfred Street in Ville Platte. Agents had been receiving information about illegal narcotics sales at this residence for some time.

Agents entered the residence and took three people into custody without any incidents. They then located over a pound of synthetic Marijuana, crystal Methamphetamine, ecstasy pills and two firearms. This led to the following arrest.

Possession of Methamphetamine

Possession with intent to distribute MDMA over 34 pills

Possession of a firearm in presence of CDS

Possession of CDS in a drug free zone

He also had two outstanding warrants

On the 13th of September 2021 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Department Narcotics Unit, conducted a traffic stop on a car on Rixby Manuel Road, for several traffic violations.  Agents made contact with the driver and sole occupant. While speaking to him they noticed narcotics and requested to search the car. This led to the recovery of several illegal narcotics. This traffic stop then led to a search of a residence located at 413 Derouen Street. Once Agents arrived at the house, they made contact with a male subject who was staying in the outdoor kitchen. Agents interviewed the suspect and obtained permission to search. While searching the outdoor kitchen Agents located more illegal narcotics. This led to the arrest of the following suspects

He was charged with

Possession with intent to distribute Methamphetamine 2 counts

Possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl

Possession with intent to distribute Oxycodone

Possession of Fentanyl

Possession with intent to distribute Heroin

Possession of MDMA

Possession of Alprazolam

Possession of Oxycodone

He was cited for traffic violations
