Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

 On 28th of July 2021 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Departments Narcotics Division, executed a search warrant on a residence located in Chataignier. This was from several months of surveillance and intelligence gathering. Agents entered the residence and took three people into custody, with out incident. Agents located a large amount of various illegal narcotics, U S Currency from illegal narcotic sales and weapons. The following are the persons arrested and their charges.

Also, on the 28th of July 2021 the K-9 Unit stopped a car Tate Cove Road, for a traffic violation. The Deputy deployed K-9 Diego to do a search of the car and located narcotics. This led to the following

On the 24th of July 2021 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Departments K-9 unit stopped a car on Lithcote road for a traffic violation. The Deputy conducted a interview with the driver, and narcotics were located.

On the 27th of July 2021 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Department Traffic Division, was working on I 49. They attempted to stop a car for speeding. The car pulled over and as Deputies approached it, the car sped off at a high rate of speed. Deputies then began pursuing the car at speeds in excess of 90 mph. Deputies were able to get the car stopped a short time later. During the pursuit, deputies could see the suspects throwing narcotics out of the window. Once the deputies stopped the car, they found drugs and loaded guns inside of it. This led to the following action being taken.
