Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

 

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff Office Criminal Patrol Unit conducted a traffic stop, on June 14th 2021. The Agents made contact with the driver of the vehicle and advised him of the reason for the stop. The Agents then conducted an interview with the driver and located narcotics.

On the 16th of June, 2021- Criminal Patrol Deputies conducted a traffic stop on car, for a traffic infraction. Agents made contact with the occupants and became suspicious with the behavior of the driver. Deputies then conducted an interview and were granted permission to search the car.

On the 17th of June, 2021- Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a car, for a traffic infraction. Upon the Deputies making contact with the driver, they saw marijuana in plain view.
