Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following update:

Ville Platte - On Thursday, June 10, 2021, EPSO Investigations Department reports that juvenile wanted for the recent shooting on Louanna Street in Mamou has surrendered himself to the proper authorities without incident. Darius Tezeno also surrendered himself to authorities for questioning and was later released.

The incident is still under investigation.

Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office would like to thank the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab and Investigations Divisions and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office for their assistance.
