Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

 

 

On the 2nd of March, 2021-  The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Criminal Patrol Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Highway 13, South of Mamou. The Deputies conducted an interview with the driver and passenger of the vehicle. The Deputy requested permission to search the vehicle. Permission to search the vehicle was granted and as a result of the search, Deputies located illegal narcotics inside of the vehicle, which led to the following actions and arrests.

LA:RS: 40:968.C-  Possession of Suboxone

LA:RS: 40:967.C-  Possession of Fentanyl

LA:RS: 40:967. C.1-  Possession with Intent to Distribute Hydrocodone

LA:RS: 40:969.C-  Possession of Alprazolam

She was charged with:

LA:RS: 40:966.C-  Possession of Marijuana

LA:RS: 40:969.C-  Possession of Tramadol

LA:RS: 40:969.C-  Possession of Alprazolam

In a separate incident that occurred on the 3rd of March, 2021, The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Criminal Patrol Unit, in conjunction with the Mamou Police Department, executed a search warrant on a residence on Jimbo Street, in the Reddell area. When agents entered the home, they located illegal narcotics and U.S. Currency. This led to the following charges.

She was charged with:

LA:RS: 40:969.C-  Possession with intent to distribute Carisoprodol

LA:RS: 40:966. C.1-  Possession with intent to distribute MDMA

LA:RS: 40:967.C-  Possession of Hydrocodone
