Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

 

On the 22nd of February, 2021- The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit conducted a traffic stop on Onyx road, in the Turkey Creek area. The Deputy deployed his K-9 Diego, which gave a positive alert on the vehicle. The Deputy then conducted a search of the vehicle and located illegal narcotics. This led to the following arrest.

 

Jeremy Paul Causey

Deridder, LA. 70634

W/M Age 45

 

He was charged with:

LA:RS: 40:967.C-  Possession of Methamphetamine

LA:RS: 40:966.C-  Possession of Heroin

And a traffic violation

In a separate incident, The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit was working the North end of the Parish, where he conducted a traffic stop on Highway 13 near Crooked Creek Parkway. The Deputy deployed his K-9, Diego, which gave a positive alert on the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was then conducted, leading to narcotics being located. This led to the following arrest.

She was charged with:

LA:RS: 40:967.C-  Possession of Methamphetamine

LA:RS: 40:1023-   Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

On a separate traffic stop, the K9 Unit conducted a traffic stop in the Turkey Creek area. K-9 Diego was deployed and alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. The following people were arrested and charged.

W/M Age 34

 

He was charged with:

LA:RS: 40:967.C-  Possession of Methamphetamine

LA:RS: 1023-  Possession of drug Paraphernalia

And a traffic violation

 

 

Daisy Sue Patience Bourgeois

35138 Becky Lane

Pearl River, LA. 70452

W/F Age 26

 

She was charged with:

LA:RS: 40:966.C-  Possession of marijuana

LA:RS 40:967.C-  Possession of Methamphetamine

LA:RS: 40:1023-  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
