Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

 

On the 16th of February, 2021 The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office received a call of an armed robbery which occurred on Greenwood Road near Tiger Lane, in the Mamou area. Deputies learned that two males had came to purchase a four-wheeler. When the two males arrived at the location, they were met by four males. While waiting for the exchange to occur, The four male subjects pulled out handguns and robbed the victims of their money. The victims then fled the scene, in their truck and notified the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office of what had just occurred . Deputies where able to obtain a  description of the suspect truck and located it at a residence on Jamie Street in Mamou. Deputies took all four male suspects into custody without incident. Deputies also recovered four handguns which were used in the robbery, along with the stolen U.S. Currency. While at the residence, Deputies also noticed the odor of Marijuana which appeared to be emanating from inside of the residence. Deputies  applied for a search warrant and located illegal narcotics and a stolen handgun. This led to the following people being arrested and charged as follows.

He was charged with:

LA:RS: 14:64- Armed Robbery

LA:RS: 14:95. E-  Possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS

LA:RS: 40:966.C-  Possession of Marijuana

LA:RS: 40:1023-  Possession of drug paraphernalia

He also had an outstanding warrant.

 

 

Devontae Wilson

924 1st Street

Mamou, LA. 70554

B/M Age 21

He was charged with:

LA:RS: 14:64-  Armed Robbery

LA:RS: 14:37.4-  Aggravated assault with a firearm

LA: RS: 14:94-  Illegal carry/ discharging of a weapon

 

 

Jamie Adam Lebleu

Mamou, LA. 70554

W/M Age 40

He was charged with:

LA:RS: 40:966. A.1-  Possession with intent to distribute marijuana

LA:RS: 40:968.C-  Possession of Suboxone

LA:RS 14:69.1-  Possession of a stolen firearm

LA:RS: 14:91.13-  Possession of a firearm in presence of CDS

LA:RS: 40:1023-  Possession of drug paraphernalia

LA:RS: 14:91.13-  Possession of CDS in presence of minor

 

 

Noah Markell Gallow

B/M Age 19

He was charged with: 

LA:RS: 14:64- Armed Robbery

 

 

Travous Alfred

1410 Hazel Street

Eunice, LA. 70535

B/M Age 22

He was charged with:

LA:RS: 14:64- Armed Robbery

LA:RS: 14:37-  Aggravated Assault
