Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

 On the 10th of December 2020 The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Criminal Patrol Unit, executed a search warrant following an investigation of narcotic sales. Criminal patrol agents along with deputies severed a search warrant at 513 West Hickory street Ville Platte. Upon entering the residence deputies detained two suspects. While conducting the search deputies found one pound of marijuana along with scales and bags. Deputies also recovered $1,300.00 in US currency. This resulted in the following arrest.

B/M AGE 61

He was charged with

LA:RS: 40.966C Possession with intent to distribute marijuana

LA:RS: 40:1023 Possession of drug Paraphernalia

He remains in custody

This makes the 73rd  drug arrest since July 1st 2020 to December 10th 2020.
